SortPay ("the App") is developed and operated by Zylode ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you install and use SortPay on your Shopify store.
By installing SortPay, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use SortPay:
Store Information
When you install the App, we collect your Shopify store domain, shop name, and the access tokens necessary to interact with the Shopify API on your behalf.
Customization Data
We store the payment and shipping rules you create inside the App — including rule titles, conditions, actions, and settings. This data is necessary for the App to function.
Usage Data
We may collect anonymised usage data such as which features are used and how frequently, to help us improve the App. This data cannot be used to identify individual merchants or customers.
Billing Information
Subscription and billing is handled entirely by Shopify. We do not collect or store your payment card details.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
— Provide and operate the SortPay service
— Save and apply your payment and shipping customization rules at checkout
— Process your subscription via Shopify Billing API
— Respond to support requests you submit to us
— Improve and develop new features for the App
— Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely on servers hosted by Render (render.com) and is protected using industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and encryption at rest.
We retain your data for as long as your store has the App installed. If you uninstall SortPay, your data will be deleted from our systems within 30 days in accordance with Shopify's data retention requirements.
While we take all reasonable steps to protect your data, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties except in the following limited circumstances:
Service Providers
We use trusted third-party services to operate the App, including Render for hosting and Shopify for billing. These providers only access your data to perform services on our behalf and are contractually bound to protect it.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the acquiring entity. We will notify you of any such change.
6. Shopify Merchant Customer Data
SortPay operates as a Shopify Function at checkout. It evaluates checkout conditions (such as cart total, shipping country, or customer tags) to apply your customization rules.
We do not store any of your customers' personal data. Checkout data is evaluated in real time within Shopify's infrastructure and is never transmitted to or stored on our servers. We have no access to your customers' names, addresses, payment details, or order history.
7. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights under GDPR:
— Right of Access — You can request a copy of the data we hold about you
— Right to Rectification — You can request correction of inaccurate data
— Right to Erasure — You can request deletion of your data
— Right to Restriction — You can request we limit processing of your data
— Right to Portability — You can request your data in a portable format
— Right to Object — You can object to certain types of processing

9. Cookies
SortPay is an embedded Shopify app and does not use cookies directly. Shopify may use cookies as part of its embedded app infrastructure (App Bridge). Please refer to Shopify's Privacy Policy at shopify.com/legal/privacy for details on their cookie usage.
10. Children's Privacy
SortPay is intended for use by Shopify merchants and is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately at support@zylode.com.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App or legal requirements. When we make significant changes, we will notify you via the App or by email.
Continued use of SortPay after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
